  Join the ranks of AAHPM members trained in effective grassroots communication and able to help promote the Academy's priorities with policymakers. The "Advocate for Sound Health Policy" training provides an expert overview of how to influence decision-makers - from important information to gather and prepare in advance of a meeting, to how to communicate so policymakers will listen, to how to follow up so as to build an ongoing relationship and why it is important to do so. The information is applicable whether you plan to visit with your elected officials at any level of government or need to advocate for your patients or practice in any setting.
