		<description>Thank you Arif for capturing this important moment in the integration of palliative care with standard cancer care.  It is very exciting to hear that three of us were at the table and that the value of palliative care is now generally accepted among cancer specialists.  ASCO has proven to be a tremendous leader in the adoption of both palliative care and robust quality measures.  I hope this ASCO and AAHPM partnership continues to grow and sparks similar initiatives with other professional societies.  Having measures of quality palliative care that cut across all cancer stages and diagnoses is a great first step.  I hope we can build on that and drive development and adoption of palliative care measures that cut across all serious chronic illnesses and care settings.  We are at a tipping point.  Thanks for being there to provide a nudge!</description>
