Job Analysis Study: A National Survey

A study was conducted in winter 2012/2013 to verify the unique set of performance domains, tasks and associated skills of the hospice physician that HMDCB and their test development partner, Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP), can use to initiate a valid certification process for physicians who work in hospice settings. The findings of the job analysis study form the content outline of the certification examination.

Input was received from a representative sample of hospice physicians and medical directors within the U.S.; results will be made available in April 2013.
