JobmartMedical DirectorThe Community Hospice is seeking a full time Medical Director for its office in Albany, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organization committed to providing the very best care. The job will involve participation in hospice interdisciplinary team meetings and home visits for hospice patients. Medical directors have responsibility for IDT participation and palliative care consults for patients at home and in local hospitals are expected. Candidates will be board certified in an ABMS recognized specialty and will have an interest in enhancing or developing subspecialty level skills in palliative medicine. Experience in hospice or end of life care is strongly preferred, as is board certification. The Community Hospice, based in Rensselaer, NY, is a highly regarded, not-for-profit, organization serving seven counties in the Capital Region of Upstate New York. It has six regional offices and serves an ADC of 600 patients. The Albany area offers excellent public and private schools and year-round outdoor recreational activities, including excellent golf, abundant water-sports, camping, hiking, and great skiing.
