Palliative Care Physician

Emory Healthcare is seeking a full time Palliative Care physician, who is board certified or board eligible in hospice and palliative care medicine, to provide inpatient palliative care consultation primarily at Emory Crawford Long Hospital and occasionally at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
 
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about palliative care and have demonstrated ability to work with and as a part of an interdisciplinary team of NPs, RNs, chaplains, and others, and be willing to build collegial relationships with referring providers.  Responsibilities include initial consults and follow-up on patients, conducting family meetings, as well as clinical oversight of non-MD team members.
 
The Palliative Care Service is an integral part of the Hospital Medicine service at Emory. In both areas, we are undergoing a strategic growth phase that includes developing a broader scholastic portfolio, strategic, external partnerships, and a particular focus on faculty development.
