JobmartARNP Certified in Adult or Family Practice for Inpatient HospiceEvergreen Hospice is dedicated to providing the highest quality end-of-life care to patients and their families. Located on the campus of Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, Washington, we have a beautiful, 15-bed facility and are one of only a few inpatient hospice centers in Washington State. We embrace innovative approaches to end-of-life care and provide Open Access care. In this position, you will be part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team with supportive MD backup. As our nurse practitioner, you will be a vital key to providing excellent patient care and staff education. The primary role of the nurse practitioner will be as an attending to 8-10 acutely symptomatic hospice patients on an inpatient hospice unit. The NP will provide coverage on a 7 day on/7 day off rotation with minimal night call. The NP will be responsible for admissions, daily rounding on patients, and discharges. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong skills in pain and symptom management, counseling regarding EOL issues, and be comfortable discussing benefits and burdens of various treatments. The NP is also an integral part of the interdisciplinary hospice team and must be able to communicate well and assist in coordination of care. Secondary role includes staff education.
