St. John’s Mercy Health Care is seeks an ABHPM-certified, fellowship trained physician, or someone with comparable experience to join our physician-led Palliative Medicine Program.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing critically ill and terminally ill patients, expertise in pain and symptom management, be a team player, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other departments and team members to perform patient/family Palliative Medicine consults as requested by the Medical staff in a timely manner. Problem solving and development of processes to improve quality of care and service is included in this role.

• Duties will primarily be located within the Medical Center, but may include visits to the SNF or surrounding nursing facilities if desired
• Call approximately 1: 5
