Medical Director - Hospice & Palliative Medicine

HomeReach Hospice is seeking a Medical Director to provide physician leadership for their Hospice & Palliative Medicine Programs.  HomeReach Hospice is located in Columbus, Ohio and is a member of the OhioHealth system. 

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Hospice / Palliative Medicine, demonstrate excellent communication skills and have experience leading a multi-disciplinary team.  In addition, desirable attributes will include experience with a fellowship program and prior work within a large multi-facility health system.  The current medical staff at HomeReach Hospice is comprised of three Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physicians and five Board Eligible physicians currently in training.  The Medical Director will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team at HomeReach and will primarily have administrative responsibilities.   

HomeReach is a comprehensive provider of homecare services and is a member of the OhioHealth system.  HomeReach currently operates a freestanding hospice inpatient center on the campus of the flagship acute care facility, Riverside Methodist Hospital.  A future “Hospice Center of Excellence” is in the planning stages and will increase inpatient capacity and provide for expansion of all programs currently operating under HomeReach Hospice.  A philanthropic campaign is currently in process to make this new facility a reality within the next two years.  The Medical Director will be actively involved in the design, fundraising and creation of this new facility.  The Medical Director will also have primary responsibility for expansion of the palliative medicine program within OhioHealth.
