Academic Palliative Medicine Physician

The Palliative Care Program within the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a physician for the role of clinician-educator in Palliative Care. This position includes patient care, teaching, curricular development, and opportunities for educational and clinical leadership within the Palliative Care Program. This is an academic faculty position at the Assistant or Associate level.

The physician will:

• Serve as the Attending Physician on the interdisciplinary Palliative Care Service
• Supervise, train and evaluate medical students, residents, and fellows (partaking in our ACGME-accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program)
• Develop palliative care curricula for trainees
• Participate in educational activities at UCSF Medical Center affiliated hospitals

Requirements include:

• Board certification in a primary specialty
• Board certification or Board eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or other comparable experience.

Faculty are encouraged but not required to participate in research activities of the Palliative Care Program.
