HPM PASS™ 2nd edition ABIM MOC Part II Credits

What do I need to do to recieve credit from ABIM?

You are just several clicks away from 60 MOC Part II credits. Bear with us – this is the first time AAHPM has linked a product to a specialty board so the process has several steps.

If you are an internist and registered with ABIM for MOC credits, then you can also receive these (Part II) self assessment credits toward your recertification in internal medicine and/or hospice and palliative medicine.

Then, once you are registered for MOC and have completed the HPM PASS 2nd Edition, click on the "Forward Results to ABIM" button and provide your 6 digit ABIM ID number and date of birth. This information will be cross-checked with the ABIM system and you will be credited with 60 MOC Part II credits.

Follow these steps to obtain your 60 MOC Part II credits:

• Go to www.aahpm.org,

• Click on "Shop"

• Click on "Login" button

• Click on "My Account" and select "My CE's and Evaluations" from the dropdown menu

• Click on the "Evaluate" link that appears for "HPM PASS 2nd Edition"

• Click "Continue" on the welcome page

• Click "Continue" on the disclaimer page

• Click "Forward Results to ABIM" button

Your information will then be verified by the ABIM system and you will be awarded 60 MOC Part II credits.

If you are an internist and registered with ABIM for MOC credits, then you can also receive these (Part II) self assessment credits toward your recertification in internal medicine and/or hospice and palliative medicine.

Why only internists?

We started with our largest group of members. 51.8% of AAHPM members are internists so we submitted an application with ABIM first. Family medicine is next at 32.2%. The American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) is in the process of revising its process for approving outside MOC credits. AAHPM will submit HPM PASS™ for ABFM credit in the 4th quarter of 2011.

But I already received my AMA PRA Category 1TM credits and CME certificate.

If you are an internist and registered with ABIM for MOC credits, then you can also receive these (Part II) self assessment credits toward your recertification in internal medicine and/or hospice and palliative medicine at no additional cost.
