When choosing an Evaluation and Management (E & M) code, physicians and non-physician practitioners can use "complexity" or time. This session will present the documentation requirements for choosing the E & M code based on time and the additional requirements for billing prolonged services.
At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Define counseling/coordination and prolonged services and the associated documentation requirements.
2. Apply these billing concepts to hospice and palliative care settings.
