RURAL

Purpose

The focus of the Rural SIG will be to address issues that members encounter in their position as medical directors of a rural hospice program. Issues might include: conditions and challenges common to rural hospices, regional and local variations, the role of the Medicare Hospice Benefit in rural hospice care, the difficulties in staffing and funding rural programs.
