The model policies below are made available by the AAHPM Ethics
Special Interest Group (SIG) for physicians to use in their practice of
hospice and palliative medicine. These policies are not endorsed by the
SIG nor have they been reviewed or endorsed by the AAHPM board of
directors. The information presented does not necessarily represent the
